Dozens of families pass daily through the Brownsville immigration depot in Texas, nearly all women with small children, telling the same story. They make their way north from Central America through Mexico hoping for jobs in the US that are often on the bottom rung of the economic ladder, but better than anything back home, and leaving leaving behind endemic violence.
