The Nun I want to let you know just like the beginning of this movie goes that this is a prequel to the movie the Conjuring and that it will have some callbacks to that movie. Before I go into this movie I’ll let you know it takes a lot to scare me since well as a kid I had free range to watch these types of movies. I know these movies are all about the misdirection’s to try and scare you and creating the ambiance with sounds and noises. I think it was a decent scare but I feel like I was more afraid of The Conjuring then this prequel it was kind of a lot of the same setups that you have seen before its kind of the same setups you have watched before. The one redeeming thing about this movie is that put a little of the comedic aspects into this one. The thing that makes movies like this better to me is not knowing why its happening I feel that they explain everything a bit quickly so we know what’s happening. I like the big reveal of the grand scheme. If your into scary movies you wont be astonished with this outing so id wait for this one to come out of theaters and wait til the better scary movies come out around Halloween or the fall/winter season. So “The Nun” all in all it’s a so so movie that doesn’t provide much innovation to the formula.
