This movie isn’t breaking new ground in the big shark or monster in the water genre but I will say that it is fun. I think the thing that keeps this one a bit fresh is that it does have couple things going for it since it doesn’t take its self too serious. I think the film realizing it’s a wild premise makes it a fun movie. I want to also add that I watched in standard which doesn’t seem like much but I tell that the added wow factor would have been there had I watched it in like an IMAX 3D experience where those big jaws and effect are coming right at you. My complaints with the movie are some of the same old plot points in these movies and the we need to add a love interest in this movie. If you are looking for a fun time in the theaters with a lot of action and thrills id say go for its fun for sure. Lastly it’s a movie about a big shark so open your mine up a bit and let it happen lol.
