See Selena Gomez in a Pastel Rainbow Wig

[ad_1]

Selena Gomez went blonde briefly in November 2017 before going back to her signature dark hair shortly after. Gomez hasn’t changed her hair color that drastically since, but she did try lighter, rainbow hair for a night.

Hair stylist Evanie Frausto posted a video of the pastel rainbow wig he created for Gomez to wear on his Instagram Story, then photos of Gomez out wearing it. With a mask on in adherence to COVID-19 guidelines, Gomez is near unrecognizable. This is the kind of look that would allow let an A-list celeb go near incognito in New York City. Gomez wore a silk turquoise blouse and her Louis Vuitton monogram trench with it. (Gomez was photographed out shopping in the trench coat in January.)

It’s unclear whether Gomez just wore the wig for fun or is using it in a project. Frausto tagged Gomez’s friend Anna Collins and New York City stylist Dean DiCriscio in the shot he shared of Gomez, so make what you will of that breadcrumb.

Gomez is currently in the city filming Only Murders in the Building, her upcoming Hulu comedy. Gomez is also releasing her Spanish EP REVELACIÓN in just weeks, on March 12. The second single for her EP, “Baila Conmigo,” was released last Friday.

Gomez spoke to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe about singing in Spanish. “You know what’s funny, is I actually think I sing better in Spanish,” she said. “That was something I discovered. It was a lot of work, and look, you cannot mispronounce anything. It is something that needed to be precise, and needed to be respected by the audience I’m going to release this for. Of course I want everyone to enjoy the music, but I am targeting my fan base. I’m targeting my heritage, and I couldn’t be more excited.”
