Tomb Raider 2018 is definitely setting itself apart from the older version with Angelina Jolie. To start off she looks like she is built to take out a few people and they start out with her showing her fighting prowess. If your looking for that same feel of the old Tomb Raider its not here she is a totally different style all together its not the flashy gun play that you are looking for this one is more attuned to using her fists and bow. She’s not looking for the glam shot or a flashy hand to combat but a gritty drawn out get in the dirt and fight. While running thru the movie they show that she is very vulnerable to the danger and not some unstoppable force that no one can handle. Through out this movie you will most definitely feel her pain from the stunts she pulls off to the fights you get to see and feel the pain and she doesn’t just heel up over night either. This is most definitely a realistic take on the Tomb Raider franchise. The crazy thing is once the ball starts rolling it doesn’t stop and even Laura feels it too at one point even going on to say “Really?”. I like this movie a lot outside of a few plot holes I enjoyed this move thoroughly you will most definitely be entertained and I’m hoping that there is a follow up to this movie because I feel the next would have her coming into her own especially with the ending.
