In more recent years most people recognize Nikko London from his role on the VH1 show Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, but it is important people know this guy has played a big role in music for a long time. From the friendly rivalry with Stevie J and the sex tape with Mimi Faust on top of his “wife” Mareaux Simms coming basically out of nowhere with as a member on the show Nikko is a true entertainer. However, Mr. London has been putting in work in the hip hop world for over 25 years, the Brooklyn native is also a singer, songwriter and producer that has worked with several heavy hitters while continuing to develop his own music now living full time between Los Angeles and Atlanta.
Some of the notable songwriting credits that are under Nikko’s belt include “He Don’t Love You” by Case from 1998, “On My Way” by Tamia from 2004 and “Come Meet Me Tonight” by Mickey Avalon while also being apart of a few records with Paula DeAnda, R Kelly and Jay Z to name a few. He gives props to his relationships with production people and artists that continues to keep him in the studio’s with the who’s who’s of the game. A tradition he plans on continuously working on while also filming the hit reality show.
“Pretty much just being around the New York scene with new school and old school hip hop and being around a lot of producers from Trackmasters to Timbaland just being in that mix as a writer and singer it all got me to work with these people.” Nikko explained. “It was a lot of different influences from and R and B and rap, so many influences New York was just a mecca of music I used to do a lot of open mics too. I have always just been it.”
Being a music head his entire life that is how he landed on the cast of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta in the first place. First and foremost he claims his experience doing music is almost more important than his noterity as reality show actor as the owner of his own label Unstoppable Records. Outside of his television projects and music moves Nikko is a fitness enthusiast who is planning on doing bootcamps and other fitness projects that include online training that can people privately book with him.
