Jameis Winston & Marcus Mariota top 2015 Draft

For the first time in 51 years the NFL Draft was held in Chicago, IL instead of Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The number one pick Jameis Winston was not even in attendance.
Winston, the decorated QB from Florida State, stayed close to home for the draft and is headed even closer to his college as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected him first overall. The number two pick was also a quarterback as the Heisman winner from last season Marcus Mariota was selected by the Tennessee Titans out of Oregon.

It is the sixth time since 1967 that quarterbacks went the top two picks and this year was really no surprise as both teams respectively seriously need help in that department. The draft is always intriguing for franchises and fans alike since a lot of the teams with high picks do not necessarily pick the best player available, most the time teams pick the best player they need at a lacking position. The hometown host of the draft, the Chicago Bears, picked up receiver Kevin Smith with the seventh overall choice out of West Virginia who was showered with cheers from hometown fans. The positive reaction from fans was complete difference from how the New York teams fans have been in the past drafts which was an interesting side note.-6b628dcabd9ea0e3
