Golden MVP

In a season where the MVP race was pretty tight, it was also very clear who had the best season. Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry’s outstanding, jaw-breaking play spoke for itself in the end. It also didn’t hurt that his team had the best record in the league, with a franchise-best 67 regular season wins.

The race included Houston Rockets guard James Harden and Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James, but shot after shot and big play after big play paid dividends for Curry as he hoisted the MVP trophy with a big smile earlier this week. Curry received 100 of the 130 first place votes, for a total of 1,198 points, from a panel of 129 writers and broadcasters along with the NBA fan voters online. He became the first Golden State Warriors player to be named MVP since Wilt Chamberlin in the 1959-1960 season, when the Warriors were based in Philadelphia.16HERNANDEZweb2-articleLarge ABC_Aaron_Hernandez_ml_150415_16x9_992
