The fearless Chef Jourdan Cha’Taun is always up for a challenge. With a growing clientele of high profile celebrity and athletes, she’s well on way to earning her own celebrity status. In the spirit of friendly competition, we decided to test her culinary prowess with the ultimate test of speed and creativity. Sixty minutes. 16 random ingredients. One three course meal. Let’s see what she’ll cook up.

Mystery basket ingredients:

  • sweet potatoes
  • garlic
  • bell pepper
  • onion
  • avocado
  • heirloom tomatoes
  • orange
  • curry powder
  • pineapple
  • canned peaches
  • black beans
  • scallops
  • T-bone steak
  • Fresh Herbs (Rosemary, Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Cilantro)

Basil Roasted Sweet Potatoes:

  • 2 Sweet Potatoes Washed
  • 1/2 Bunch Fresh Basil
  • 4 Garlic Cloves Cut in half, length wise
  • 1 tablespoon Nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons coconut oils

Method:
Pre-Heat Oven 400 degrees
Slice down the middle of each sweet potato and inch deep. Mix 2 table spoons coconut oil with, garlic, basil, nutmeg, 1/2 salt, pepper. Stuff 1/2 mixture in each sweet potato. Rub the outside of each sweet potato with remain coconut oil, salt pepper. Place on baking sheet, roast 45min.
