She’s not your average latina, Kattya Heredia is carving her own lane in the modeling world with a unique look that is turning heads just about everywhere. In her four years of working in the industry she has done tons of shoots and music videos and is continuously getting booked for projects and appearances that keep her super busy. Born in Lima, Peru Kattya is 100 percent Peruvian, but her family moved to Miami when she was very young so she considers South Florida her home and definitely the city that opened up doors for her.
When she was a teenager Kattya was sitting around lounging one summer and all of a sudden the beginning of her modeling career just started.
“My cousin had a camera and she wanted to test it, so I took some photos and they turned out pretty good.” Kattya said. “My friends were telling me about model mayhem and how I should start a page, so I did.”
At the young age of 19 Kattya’s first big splash on the scene was when she appeared in KING magazine, before the magazine folded in late 2009. During that time the KING following was very major as they produced quality lavish photoshoots with tons of beauties including Kattya herself. That truly helped her initial buzz, since then there has been a whirlwind of opportunities coming her way as the opportunities keeps piling up.
“When KING magazine came out I got a lot of love on Twitter from people in different places,” Kattya explained. “That was definitely the beginning.”
