Getting your music played on the radio has traditionally been a whole different animal versus today’s digital landscape, At a young age Draze did it with a song “High School” that landed on Seattle’s KUBE 93 through persistence, word of mouth and good intentions. He is an artist at heart delivering dope hip hop lyrics with pure thought and messages behind it. Making people think through music has always been a goal of his. Now his music allows him a platform to help people in multiple ways.

The latest joint “Seattle Sweeties” is a prime example of The Draze Experience not only as an artist, but also as a person that deliveries these in depth messages through hip hop. The latest song is all about celebrating the lovely ladies of his home region and their unique beauty versus other metropolitan cities of America.

The Seattle Sweeties projects is bigger than just a ladies anthem, in effort to raise money for domestic violence survivors Draze linked up with the Seattle cafe Cupcake Royale to create the “Seattle Sweeties” cupcake series bringing a great cause and tasty treats together. The six flavors the two teams collaborated on include: Choco-latte, Chai Cinnamon, Lemon Cherry Blossom, Banana Cream, Caramel Delight and Vanilla Dream all available now until November 22nd at all locations within the city. A portion of each cupcake sold will go to Runway to Freedom, an organization that supports survivors of domestic violence.

“From the club atmosphere  to CNN laced content I try to create music that reflects all that,” said Draze. “There are 100 reasons for it, my music is very diverse I don’t make music in a vacuum. Hip Hop always falls into categories I’m not trying to fight the labels I am trying to authentically give the world what is me through my music.”

Speaking to the community, helping kids and other various causes is nothing new to Draze his mission has been clear for years. He donates his time and energy to speaking with high schools and colleges, working with government agencies as a voice for the African American community all while also being a solid father to his teenage daughter. Through years of making music with several mixtapes, international tours and singles this particular “Seattle Sweeties” campaign was not only produced by legendary producer Vitamin D it has produced a respect for hip hop to a whole new crowd of people adding to the Draze legacy.

“I like to allow people in spaces of power to hear about ‘our’ perspectives,” Draze explained.
